Em makes free verse, spoken word and black-out poetry.

In 2023, Em’s poem Because of Us, written for the people of Gaza, garnered international attention and recognition.

Em’s work has since featured in countless publications and projects including an audio-visual adaptation of Because of Us with Al Jazeera, and alongside Palestinian artist Hazem Harb in gauze, wound, wrap: a series of projections by Australian Waanyi multi-media artist Judy Watson at BIG CITY LIGHTS*, a free arts festival in Australia.

Em is currently working on her first publication, titled FIGHTING POEMS to be self-published in 2025.
